An opportunity to meet and socialise with other men in a large converted garage at the Bradbury Independent Living Centre whilst pursuing an interest and gaining a sense of achievement.  Members share the tools and resources they need to work on projects of their choosing at their own pace and in a safe, friendly and inclusive venue.  A trained member of staff provides support on Friday morning or afternoon for a three hour session to ensure maximum benefit.  Once confidence is gained, the individual may choose to join the Shed on one of its other days as a ‘shedder’.  Activities include building small garden items, renovating furniture and recycling daily living equipment. Suitable for men aged 50+ who are socially isolated. It can accommodate men with early dementia.  Lunch and transport can be arranged on request.
